In Viaggio: The Travels of Pope Francis

  • NR
  • Documentary
  • 1h 20m
  • Watch Trailer
  • Accessibile

In the first nine years of his pontificate, Pope Francis made 37 trips visiting 53 countries, focusing on his most important issues: poverty, migration, the environment, solidarity and war. Intrigued by the fact that two of Francis’s trips – the first to the refugees landing in Lampedusa; the second in 2021 to the Middle East – so closely mirrored the itineraries of his films Fuocoammare (Fire At Sea, 2016) and Notturno (2020), Rosi follows the Pope’s Stations of the Cross. He sees what he sees, hears what he says and creates a dialogue between archival footage of Francis’ travels, images taken by Rosi himself, recent history and the state of the world today.

About Us

The Cape Cinema

The Cape Cinema has been one of the premier destinations for entertainment on Cape Cod since 1930 and continues to be committed remaining such. While most of the website features upcoming events ranging from movies and theatrical performances to concerts and the ballet, this page can fill you in on some of the building history.

The Cape Cinema has been entertaining locals of Dennis and the rest of Cape Cod, Massachusetts for nearly one hundred years. The building was constructed in 1930 and founded by Edna Tweeny and Raymond Moore just a couple years after the Cape Playhouse. The exterior of the cinema often confuses new guests who ask us how long the building has been a theater and when it stopped being a church. To the surprise of many, the building has always been a cinema.

"Such a cool place to see a movie, from the vintage, small-town atmosphere to the ceiling artwork. Every year, they always have a great selection of films, including many films that you can't see in the big movie theatre chains. My favorite place on Cape Cod to see a movie!"

"This theater is a historic landmark and local cultural treasure. They have a lot of hard to see foreign and alternate films. The telecast plays often seem of intetest, but good luck getting a ticket; they always seem to draw a big crowd."
